Information of Screw Conveyor Machine
The screw conveyor consists of a driving device, feeding trough, spirods and an intermediate bearing.
1. Feed trough
The trough of the screw conveyor is mostly stamped and formed by thin steel plate, and it has two shapes of round and U-shaped to choose from. The gap between the trough and the helical blade is determined by the diameter of the helical surface and the abrasiveness of the material.
2. Spiroids
The screw body connected (mainly welded) by the screw surface and the screw shaft is a very important component in the screw conveyor, and the screw surface is a very important part of the screw body. The helical surface applied on the screw conveyor is mostly realized by welding the helical blades of ordinary steel plate stamping and forming in turn.
For the screw conveyor used for the transportation of materials with strong abrasiveness, the helical surface can be selected from flat steel rolling parts or cast iron parts. In order to adapt to the conveying of materials with different characteristics, the helical blade has developed three types of belt type, blade type and tooth type on the basis of the original solid type blade.
3. Intermediate bearing
The intermediate bearing, also known as the suspension bearing, is used in the long distance screw conveyor as the intermediate support of the screw shaft. In the design and manufacture of the conveyor, for the assembly of the intermediate bearing, the continuity of the helical surface is interrupted at the intermediate support, which reduces the cross-section of the material passing there, loses the propelling force of the blade, and is prone to blockage. The rational design of the intermediate bearing structure is crucial to the efficient and stable operation of the screw conveyor.
